Phoenix Gold SAM-200 240-Watt Smart Audio Built-In Speaker Distribution System

The SAM's distribute one speaker-level stereo signal to 6 stereo or 12 mono listening zones (SAM100 or SAM105), or to 12 stereo or 24 mono listening zones (SAM200 or SAM205). The optional SAMBB1 with hard gold plated copper bussbars must be utilized for mono zone operation. Manually adjustable power resistor taps (4 to 0.5 ohm) allow for accurate setting of system impedance to match the amplifier's rating. PC board-mounted input terminals are rated at 30 amps and are capable of accepting up to 8 gauge spade terminals (see page 28), or speaker cable up to 10 gauge via the integral screw and compression plate. The right angle output terminals with integral wire protectors are also PC board-mounted, rated at 15 amps and are capable of accepting up to 12 gauge speaker cable. The SAM's feature UL- and CSA-style 16 gauge white powder coated steel cabinets manufactured by Phoenix Gold in Portland, Oregon with cable knockouts on four sides, removable cover plates and various mounting holes. The oversized cover plate features vent holes, reversible logo and attaches to the box with four white quarter turn Dzus fasteners. Located at each of the 4 corners of the box are both 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch drywall markers for convenient mounting to the appropriate thickness of drywall to be utilized. Accessories include UL/CSA-approved snap-in strain relief?s (six for SAM100 Series or twelve for SAM200 Series), four wire distribution guides (SAM200 or SAM205 only) and an instruction sheet. To enhance the flexibility of the SAM system, optional modules may be plugged into the expansion port for on- or off-site switching. (See our SM6, RM6, HRZS and HJRS.) The optional doorbell module (HDB1) will mute the audio when the doorbell button is depressed.
